About John Anthony
The Founder and leader of this Master-Class, Mr. John Anthony has studied with Lee Strasberg as well as Vera Slovia who was an original member of the Moscow Art Theater.
He worked with John Sarno, who was voted teacher of the year 2000 in LA as well as won a golden globe nomination. Mr. Anthony was also associated with Ned Manderino, author of 'The Transpersonal Actor'.
As a noted teacher and director in LA, Mr. Manderino was one of the first people invited by Elia Kazan to join the director’s unit at the the Actor’s Studio. Mr. Sarno and Mr. Mandarino also lived with Lee Strasberg.
Mr. Anthony has appeared in various TV shows and films and was associated with the 18th Street Theatre as Artistic Director. He was also a member of the pacific Palises Theater company in LA.
He has been teaching for the past 40 years, proving the actors a workshop where they come to experiment, take risks, work through difficulties, and work on their instrument in a safe environment so that they may progress in their work.
John is proud of all the young actors he has been able to reach.
